Christianity Explored (CE) is an informal introduction to Jesus Christ and his mission to save people like ourselves. CE consists of ten weekly sessions, usually held in the winter/early spring every Friday at 7:15 pm in a member's home. The last course ran from 22 January until 26 March 2010, and a ten week follow-on course called Discipleship Explored (DE) will begin Friday, 24 September 2010. Everyone is welcome--from the most sympathetic church goer to the convinced atheist. We shall respect your background, and you can tell us as little or as much about yourself as you feel comfortable. Contact us if you would like to find out more. You can also learn more about the CE programme material online at http://www.christianityexplored.org/. Here are some Q and A items about CE: Q. What goes on? A. The evening begins with an ample meal. After the meal, there is a brief discussion on the course material from the week before, then a Bible study with discussion, and a 20-minute DVD (by Rico Tice) on the theme for that week. The group discusses the questions from the video and any others that have arisen, and the evening ends at about 9:30 pm. Of course, if you'd like, you're welcome to stick around a bit longer for a coffee to discuss any further issues you might have. And you can ask any question you want, at any time during the course. Q. How long does the course last? A. The course runs for 10 weeks, including a day away, when you can explore other areas such as the Bible, the Holy Spirit, prayer and the church. Q. Can I pull out if I want to, or come after the first week? A. Of course you can. Q. How much does the course cost? A. Nothing. Q. Do I have to bring anything? A. No, all course materials are provided.
